The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to pay compensation with respect to their land comprised in Khasra Nos.67//23/1, 67//23/2, 67//22/3, 76//3/2, 67//23/3 pertaining to village Purhiran, Hadbast No.251, Tehsil and District Hoshiarpur.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondentState has acquired their afore-stated land, however, no compensation till date has been paid despite expiry of 3 decades. The grievance of the petitioners, at this stage, would be redressed if respondent-State is directed to consider their claim in accordance with law.
