**** KIRTI SINGH , J. (ORAL) CRM-30587-2025 The application is allowed as prayed for. Representation dated 16.4.2025 (Annexure A-1) is taken on record CRM-M-61270-2024 1.

This petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for the issuance of a direction upon respondents No. 2 and 3 to conduct fair and impartial investigation in FIR No. 0039 dated 1.4.2023 registered under Section 306 IPC, at Police Station Meharban, Police Commissionerate Ludhiana (Annexure P-1). A further prayer has been made that respondents No. 2 and 3 be directed to add Sections 302 IPC in the said FIR.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed the representation dated 16.4.2025 Gurpreet Singh 2025.08.08 16:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh (Annexure A-1) before the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh

CRM-M-61270--2024 -2raising his grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereupon. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if, appropriate directions are issued upon the respondents concerned to consider and decide the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereupon.

At the asking of the Court, Ms. Guramrit Kaur, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that the needful will be done in due course. Let a complete set of the paper-book be supplied to her during the course of the day. 5.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the official respondents concerned to consider and decide the representation dated 16.4.2025 addressed to DGP, Punjab (Annexure A-1) moved by the petitioner expeditiously and within a period of three months, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law. 6.

The petitioner is at liberty to seek revival of the petition, if required.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
