*** HARSH BUNGER, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondent No.1 to consider and decide the appeal along with the stay application filed by the petitioner.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.1 (Commissioner, Karnal Division, Karnal) for deciding the stay application filed along with the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner.

CWP-32865-2024 (O&M) -2Divisional Commissioner, Karnal, submits that the stay application along with the aforesaid appeal filed by the petitioner are pending consideration before respondent No.1 (Commissioner, Karnal Division, Karnal) for 18.12.2024. It is further submitted that in all probability the stay application along with the aforesaid appeal shall be decided by the concerned Officer/Authority on the date fixed i.e. 18.12.2024 and in any case, not beyond a period of three weeks thereafter, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned State counsel, submits that he does not intend to press the instant writ petition any further, at this stage. 5.

Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 6.
