Ms. Vini Rana, Advocate, for the complainant. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner has filed this petition for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.189 dated 26.09.2024 under Sections 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023 and 25 of the Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station City-2, Khanna, District Ludhiana.

The petitioner is in custody since 26.09.2024 where the offence of attempt to murder is alleged arising out of an incident where the petitioner under the intoxication of liquor had caused bullet injuries to his wife with 12 bore licensed gun.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the fact that investigation is still pending, this Court declines bail to the petitioner for the time being with liberty to revisit the Court as and when the investigation is over.
