Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was named as an accused in FIR, Annexure P4, lodged by Prem Lata, petitioner's sister in law. He asserts that FIR is an outcome of marital discord and petitioner has been found to be innocent as is evident from the information, Annexure P6, received by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 2005. Counsel states that petitioner is residing in Australia since 2017 and she had come to India to attend the marriage in 2023, but she is being denied the police clearance certificate on account of her alleged involvement in the FIR. Counsel has placed reliance upon the judgment of this Court in Amandeep Kaur Versus The State of Punjab and others, Law Finder Doc ID # 2370326 to contend that once the petitioner has been found to be innocent after detailed investigation, PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2026.03.12 04:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP No.31527 of 2025 -2- police clearance certificate cannot be denied on account of pendency of the FIR.
Advance copy of the petition has been served upon State.
State counsel requests for deferment to get instructions.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Pardeep Singh 30/LR, Police Station, Dehlon, submits that Police Clearance Certificate would be issued within a week from the date petitioner applies. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent to issue Police Clearance Certificate within a week from the date fresh application is filed by the petitioner.
