The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 17.07.2025 (Annexure P-6) to the extent that she has not been granted interest and penalty as per provisions of Employees Compensation Act, 1923. 2.

On 05.02.2026, following order was passed:- "Mr. Akshay Kumar Dahiya, Advocate and Mr.

Tushar Kaushik, Advocate for Mr. Ravish Kaushik, Advocate have put in appearance on behalf of UHBVNL-respondents and have filed Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. They have placed on record a receipt issued by petitioner, whereby she stated that she is satisfied with the amount of compensation granted to her and that she will not file any SUDEEPAK KUMAR 2026.04.29 16:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

-2Court case for the same. On the strength of this letter, counsel has urged that petitioner is not entitled to interest. It is a matter of common knowledge that such a communication is insisted upon by department before releasing compensation. This communication does not debar her from approaching the Court.

Respondents are directed to calculate and release the interest found due to petitioner on or before the next date of hearing. Failing which, the competent officer shall remain present before this Court on the next date.

List on 29.04.2026."

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that a sum of Rs.10,17,393/- has been sanctioned and released to petitioner on account of interest.

In the wake of aforesaid statement, the petition stands disposed of with liberty to petitioner to move an appropriate application within three months from today, if cause survives.
