The prayer enclosed in the instant writ petition is for the issuance of directions to the competent respondent to consider and decide the petitioner's application dated 10.12.2024 within a stipulated time frame.

On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 31.10.2025, this Court had directed the learned State counsel to have appropriate instructions from the competent authority and apprise the Court of the current status of the petitioner's application. In compliance, the learned State counsel, on instructions from Mr. Balbir Raj Singh, Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Jalandhar, has undertaken that the petitioner's application shall be decided within one month from today.
