**** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The prayer in the present petition under Section 482 BNSS, 2023 is for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.0005 dated 11.01.2025 under Sections 105 and 3(5) of the BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station Sadar Patti, District Tarn Taran. 2.

On 22.12.2025, the following order was passed:- Seeking anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.0005 dated 11.01.2025, under Sections 105 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, registered at Police Station Sadar Patti, District Tarn Taran, the instant petitions have been filed.

It is contended that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the present FIR which was registered after a delay of two days from the alleged incident. It is contended that the deceased was a drug addict and that it is a case where the deceased had died due to over dose of the drugs.

In the meantime, the petitioner(s) are directed to join investigation as and when required by the Investigating Agency. In the event of petitioners joining investigation, they shall be admitted to interim bail by the arresting officer/investigating officer on furnishing of bail bonds to the satisfaction of the arresting officer/investigating officer. The petitioners shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023.

Reply(ies), if any, be filed on or before the next date of hearing with a copy in advance to the counsel opposite.

A photocopy of the order be placed on the connected file(s).

Thereafter, on 16.03.2026, the following order was passed:- Short reply dated 14.03.2026 by way of an affidavit of Jagjit Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Patti, District Tarn Taran has been filed on behalf of respondent-State by the learned State counsel and the same is taken on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that one week more time be granted to the petitioner to join the investigation.

Adjourned to 01.04.2026.

The petitioner is, once again, directed to join the investigation.

Then, on 01.04.2026, the following order was passed:- "The petitioner is directed to join the investigation once again.

Thereafter, on 22.04.2026, the following order was passed:- The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that in another case registered against the petitioner bearing FIR No.37 dated 02.03.2026, he has been granted the concession of interim bail vide order dated 20.04.2026 passed in CRM-M-21413-2026. He seeks one more opportunity to enable the petitioner to join the investigation in the present case as well.

On his request, the matter is adjourned to 29.04.2026.

In the meantime, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation once again in terms of order dated 22.12.2025.

Despite passing of the aforementioned orders, the petitioner has not joined the investigation. Further, he is an accused in two other cases under the NDPS Act. Therefore, the present petition stands dismissed. 4.
