(Oral) Prayer in this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for directing the official respondents No.2 to 4 to trace the whereabouts of the minor daughter of the petitioner namely Asis aged about 14 years who is suspected to be in illegal custody of respondents No.5 to 7, with a prayer to ensure her safety and security. Status report by way of affidavit of Nirmal Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Patti, District Tarn Taran has been filed in the Court today which is taken on record. After arguing the case at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
