Mr. HS Deol, Sr. Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner has filed this petition for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.27 dated 24.03.2024 under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (Sections 396 and 120-B IPC added later on) registered at Police Station, Nathana, District Bathinda. 2.

The petitioner is in custody since 02.04.2024 where the offence of dacoity with murder is alleged against the petitioner alongwith six co-accused.

The petitioner has been implicated based on the extra judicial confessional statement of one Dogar Singh and the supplementary statement made by brother of the deceased under Section 161 Cr.P.C.

Looking to the gravity of the offences, it would be appropriate that main witnesses are allowed to be examined in the matter before the request for bail is considered.

In view of the above, no case for grant of bail is made out and therefore, this Court dismissed the petition for the time being with liberty to revisit the Court after examination of the main witnesses. 6.
