The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 22.08.2025 passed by this Court in CRM-M-45521-2025, whereby respondent No.2-Director General of Police, Chandigarh, was directed to decide the representations dated 31.12.2024 filed by the petitioner expeditiously preferably within two weeks from the date of passing of the order, in accordance with law. 2.

Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Munish Bansal, Public Prosecutor, U.T., Chandigarh, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and submits that in compliance of the order dated 22.08.2025 passed by this Court in VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2025.11.20 10:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-5379-2025 (O&M) -2CRM-M-45521-2025, a speaking order dated 11.11.2025 has been passed by the Director General of Police, Union Territory, Chandigarh. A copy of the speaking order dated 11.11.2025 has been produced before this Court, which is taken on record. A copy thereof has also been handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner in Court today itself. 4.

In view of the above, since order dated 22.08.2025 passed by this Court in CRM-M-45521-2025 has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 5.

Needless to say that the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedy as is available to him in accordance with law to challenge the speaking order dated 11.11.2025 passed by the Director General of Police, Union Territory, Chandigarh.
