The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for appointing a 'Warrant Officer' to release the detenues namely Lovepreet Singh S/o Pritpal Singh, Paramjeet Singh S/o Pritpal Singh and Jatin Bhardwaj S/o Sanjay Bhardwaj, from the illegal custody of respondent No.3.

Vide order dated 29.10.2025 passed by this Court, learned counsel for the petitioners restricted his prayer and thus, a Warrant Officer was appointed to conduct search for detenue-Lovepreet Singh only at the premises of respondent No.3 or any place pointed out by the petitioner. In compliance of the aforesaid order, report of the Warrant Officer has been received, which is taken on record. As per the report, the alleged detenue was not found at the premises of respondent No.3. 4.
