The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to take action against respondent No.4 for possessing fake degree and securing promotion.

The petitioner is a Municipal Councilor, Mansa. He claims that respondent No.4 secured B.Com. degree without seeking permission or informing respondents Nos.2 & 3 and on the basis of graduation degree got promotion from the post of Clerk to Accountant. He along with other Municipal Councilors preferred representation dated 01.08.2025 for action against respondent no. 4 but to no avail. 3.

Learned State counsel and counsel for respondent No.3 submit that matter is under consideration. The report is sought from competent authority and after receipt of report further action would be initiated.
