Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.2 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents and their accomplices as they are continuously harassing and threatening him and are issuing deadly threats to petitioner and his wife who are senior citizens. It is further prayed to issue necessary directions to respondent No.2 to take action against the private respondents, in accordance with law and to take action on the representation/complaint, dated 13.09.2024, Annexure P-1, and call for the status report in a time-bound manner.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has already filed representation, dated 11.09.2024 (Annexure P-1) before respondent No.2, however, no action has been taken on the same till date.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the facts of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, SBS Nagar, Punjab, to look into the representation (Annexure P-13) of the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today.
