Present petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.174 dated 24.07.2025 under Sections 115(2), 118, 126(2), 109, 191(3), 190, 61(2) of BNS (Section 118(2) of BNS added later on, registered at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar (Rural).

Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case, he was not present at the spot at the time of alleged occurrence. He has further submitted that some other co-accused have already been granted bail. Petitioner is ready and willing to join investigation.

Mr. Navdeep Singh, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and seeks time to file status report while contending that specific grievous injury has been attributed to the petitioner.
