Learned counsel submits that the petitioner retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.11.2021, however, only partial amount of Rs.61,69,969/- of GPF has been released. Since the petitioner was on deputation with the Municipal Corporation and working in the Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, for that period, the vouchers appeared to be missing, however, a decision is still required to be taken by the competent authority i.e. respondent No.2-The Director, Department of Health and Family Welfare, to whom a legal notice dated 21.07.2024, Annexure P-4 has been served and a decision has to be taken by the Director, who had though forwarded it to Civil Surgeon, Moga, whose response has though been received on 09.09.2024, Annexure P-6 but that of Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana and the Commissioner have not been received. He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioner, prays that a direction be given to respondent Nos.2 to 4 to decide the same in a time bound manner.
