(ORAL) The instant petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to conduct fair and impartial investigation in FIR No.175 dated 04.08.2024 under Sections 109, 190, 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 115(2) of the BNS, 2023, registered at Police Station Rama Mandi, District Police Commissionerate, as till date none of the accused have been arrested and the investigating agency has not even completed the investigation.

Mr. Navdeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Som Nath, has, however, disputed the submissions made by the counsel opposite and submitted that not only has the challan in the present case been presented on 05.12.2024, the case has since been committed to the Court of Sessions on 23.12.2024.
