Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the remaining retiral benefits i.e. Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Leave Encashment etc. and further to release the arrears of salary and pension, after revising the pension of the petitioner with respect to the pay scale of Water Pump Operator-II and grant a suitable amount of interest @ 18% per annum on the said delayed payments. Further prayer has been made to direct respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation/letter dated 10.05.2024 (Annexure P-7) submitted by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for claiming the aforesaid relief, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.05.2024 (Annexure P-7) and at this stage, the petitioner would be MOHD YAKUB 2024.12.18 17:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CWP No.34294 of 2024 satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

Mr. Praveen Chander Goyal, Addl. A.G., Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 10.05.2024 (Annexure P-7), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
