The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to renew his passport. As per the facts disclosed in the writ petition, the petitioner was convicted in the case FIR No. 92 dated 22.10.2022, registered under Section 307, 323 and 34 IPC and Sections 25 and 27/54/59 of the Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station Sudhar, District Ludhiana, vide judgment dated 08.02.2023 against which the criminal appeal i.e. CRA-SB-664-2023 is pending. The learned counsel claims that the petitioner has already supplied a copy of the judgment, however, the same has not been considered as yet. 2.

Civil Writ Petition No. 34182 of 2024 respondents and submits that the petitioner did not submit a copy of judgment of conviction and order of sentence. He further submits that if the petitioner supplies a copy of the judgment and order of sentence, the competent authority will process the petitioner's application. 3.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner is not averse to the aforesaid offer made by the respondents' counsel. 4.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the petitioner would supply an authenticated copy of the judgment dated 08.02.2023 and order of sentence within the next ten days, which shall be considered by the appropriate authority, in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks thereafter.
