issuance of passport to the petitioner (minor) has been closed. A copy of said letter dated 26.12.2024 is handed over by learned counsel for the respondent/Union of India in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

2.1 Learned counsel for the respondent/Union of India submits that in case, the petitioner (minor) through his mother files a fresh application seeking issuance of passport to him then the same would be considered within a period of two months, in accordance with law. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel for the respondent/Union of India, submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition at this stage with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh with a fresh application seeking issuance of passport to the petitioner (minor).
