(Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 for quashing of order dated 27.05.2025 passed by the learned Trial Court whereby the bail was cancelled, surety bonds of the petitioner were forfeited and non-bailable warrants were issued against him in case bearing FIR No. 148 dated 01.11.2022 registered under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station C-Division, District Police Commissionerate, Amritsar.

Status report dated 10.02.2026 by way of an affidavit of Parvesh Chopra, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, South, Amritsar on behalf of the respondent/State has been filed by the learned State Counsel today in the Court and the same is taken on record.

It is specifically averred in para 9 of the said status report that in pursuance to order dated 10.11.2025 passed by this Court, the petitioner has surrendered before the Trial Court and that he was released on interim bail on furnishing bail/surety bonds.

In view of the above, since the petitioner has surrendered before the Trial Court in terms of order dated 10.11.2025, the present petition is allowed and the interim order dated 10.11.2025 is made absolute. 5.

However, if required, the petitioner(s) shall continue to appear before the Trial Court.
