Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3 - The Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, District Patiala to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 11.12.2024 (Annexure P-2) examined to the limited extent of alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps as may be warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner in any manner.

As far as prayer of the petitioner seeking issuance of directions for lodging of the FIR is concerned, it shall be open to the petitioner to approach the Illaqa Magistrate concerned by moving appropriate application under Section 175(3) BNSS.
