***** HARSH BUNGER J. (ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to reissue the passport of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as regards the grievance raised in the instant writ petition, the petitioner has already submitted representation dated 31.10.2024 (Annexure P-3). 2.1 Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the concerned authorities to decide the aforesaid representation submitted by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent(s)/Union of India submits that respondent No.2 (Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar)/competent authority shall take decision either way, on the pending representation dated 31.10.2024 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today.

Keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel for the respondent(s)-Union of India, the present writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
