1. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondents to get the application filed by the petitioner seeking grant of parole, which is stated to be pending before learned District Magistrate, Jalandhar, examined and disposed of in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 3 weeks from today.

2. In case, no such application is filed, it shall be open to the petitioner to file the same immediately.
