(ORAL) Prayer in this 2nd petition under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 52 dated 30.04.2019 under Sections 302, 313, 316, 201, 120-B (Section 314 added later on) of IPC registered at Police Station Sadar Batala District Batala (Punjab).

Custody certificate dated 08.01.2025 filed in Court today is taken on record, as per which, the petitioner has undergone custody period of 2 years, 10 months and 18 days as an undertrial.

At the outset, learned counsel submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition.
