NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is for quashing the FIR No.72 dated 15.06.2023 registered under Sections 406, 498-A IPC at Police Station Women, Police Commissionerate Jalandhar (Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 24.09.2024 (Annexure P-2). Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Palwinder Singh, submits that the petitioners have been declared as proclaimed persons vide order dated 30.10.2023.
Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to challenge the said order.
