     /---- ' ( 0       1) 2Learned counsel contends that name of the petitioner surfaced based on the disclosure statement of co-accused Jaskaran Singh and Harvinder Singh who were apprehended at the spot and non-commercial quantity of contraband was allegedly recovered from them and are now on bail vide orders dated 26.05.2025 and 22.05.2025. In this regard, reliance is placed on the judgment passed by Hon'ble The Supreme Court in the case of Tofan Singh vs. State of Tamil Nadu, 2021(1) RCR (Crl.) 1. There is no other case under the NDPS Act against the petitioner. He is ready and willing to join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency and will cooperate.

Notice of motion.

At the asking of the Court, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation on or before 21.11.2025. In the event of his arrest, he shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to compliance of conditions MOHIT 2026.01.13 18:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
