*** HARSH BUNGER, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the official respondents to re-issue a fresh passport to the petitioners.

Mr. Amit Sharma, Senior Panel Counsel, who has appeared on behalf of the respondents No.1 and 2-Union of India, pursuant to the advance copy of petition having been sent to the Union of India, submits that the application for issuance of fresh passport to the petitioners stands closed as the petitioners have failed to appear along with the requisite documents in pursuance of the communication dated 27.06.2024. A copy of the said communication dated 27.06.2024 has been handed over in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions and also a copy of the same has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioners in Court today HIMANI GUPTA 2025.01.18 12:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

2.1 It is further submitted that in case the petitioners apply afresh along with the documents/information desired as per communication dated 27.06.2024, the same would be considered in accordance with law. 3.

In view of the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel representing respondents No.1 and 2-Union of India, learned counsel for the petitioners prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition at this stage with liberty to the petitioners to apply afresh along with the requisite documents/information in accordance with law. 4.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage with the liberty aforesaid. 5.

It goes without saying that in case any such application is filed by the petitioners, the authorities shall consider the same expeditiously, in accordance with law.
