The instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, for seeking non-bailable warrants obtained to arrest the accused namely Rajinder Singh, in FIR No.77 dated 15.04.2024 (Annexure P-2) registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh who being colleague of petitioner working in Indian Army has stolen Rs. 6,50,705/- (life-long savings) of the petitioner and the petitioner because of his deployment is not in a position to visit the police authorities time-and-again but despite the posting location of accused being available with the police location of accused being available with the police authorities as admitted in status report dated 08.05.2025 (Annexure P-3). 2.

In compliance of order dated 18.11.2025, status report by way of an affidavit of Gurjeet Kaur (CPS) SDPO (South), UT Chandigarh, on behalf of respondent is placed on record.

Mr. Manish Bansal, Public Prosecutor for UT, submits that the present petition has become infructuous because, accused Rajinder Singh POONAM 2026.04.30 10:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-64257-2025 -2has already been arrested in this case. However, he is not sure whether after being arrested, accused-Rajinder Singh is granted bail or is inside jail presently.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
