Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest @ 18% per month to the petitioner on the delayed payment made by the respondent on account of leave encashment and gratuity. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for claiming the aforesaid relief, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 02.11.2024 (Annexure P-2) and at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 02.11.2024 (Annexure P2), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.3, for information and compliance.
