Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 105, 3(5) of BNSS, 2023, in a case arising out of FIR No. 128, dated 19.08.2024, registered at Police Station Nihal Singh Wala, District Moga.

At the very outset, counsel for the petitioner submits that he be allowed to withdraw the present petition. However, he requests that a direction be issued to the Court below to decide the regular bail petition, if any, filed by him, expeditiously.

Dismissed as withdrawn. It is, however, made clear that in case the petitioner surrenders before the Investigating Agency or the concerned Court below within a period of two weeks and moves a regular bail application, same shall be decided expeditiously, preferably, within a period of one week from its filing.
