 Learned counsel would contend that the petitioner was though higher in merit, was not selected for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor (History). The issue with regard to the equivalence of the certificate that the petitioner possesses with the required qualification, stands decided by the Division Bench of this Court in Randeep Singh vs. Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chd and Others through its Registrar General, CWP-14913-2023, decided on 16.09.2024. He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioner, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide his claim in a time bound manner. 3.
