Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail for the petitioner in FIR No.190 dated 19.10.2025 under Sections 420 and 406 of IPC (now under Sections 318(4) and 316(2) of BNS, 2023) registered at Police Station Machhiwara, District Ludhiana, Punjab.

Vide order dated 13.11.2025 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court, the petitioner was directed to join the investigation as and when called by the Investigating Officer and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer.

The case has been called twice, however, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today. On the last date of hearing, the position was the same.

  Moreover, the learned State Counsel has informed that the petitioner has not joined the investigation till date. In light of the above and keeping in view the conduct of the petitioner as he has not complied with the directions issued vide order dated 13.11.2025, no ground is made out to grant the benefit of anticipatory bail to him. Hence, the present petition is hereby dismissed. The interim protection granted to the petitioner vide order dated 13.11.2025 also stands vacated.
