Learned counsel submits that the petitioner, who was impaired with permanent disability of 45% in both ears, had applied for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor (Chemistry) pursuant to the advertisement dated 19.10.2021, though the result was declared but his candidature was kept pending, with regard to which a representation dated 09.10.2024, Annexure P11, has been submitted by relying on the judgment passed by this Court in Jagjeet Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others, LPA-829-2022, decided on 23.09.2024 alongwith other connected cases, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, from the petitioner, prays that a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Amarpreet Singh Bains, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State and has no objection to the limited prayer made.
