The instant petition has been filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 (earlier Section 439 Cr.P.C.), for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, during the pendency of trial, who has been booked in a criminal case arising out of First Information Report, as detailed here-under:- Name of Petitioner FIR No.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since both the eye-witnesses, namely, Rajwinder Singh (father of the deceased - Gurdarshan Singh alias Sona) and Kabal Singh f/o Shinder Singh, have been examined before the trial Court, trial is not proceeding with its required pace, as only 10 witnesses have been examined out of the total cited 23 prosecution witnesses so far, and petitioner - Davinder Singh @ JAWALA RAM 2026.03.10 20:21 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

At this stage, learned counsel submits that he be allowed to withdraw the present petition, at this stage. However, direction be issued to the trial Court to decide the trial expeditiously. 3.

However, noticing that the petitioner has already undergone total incarceration period of about 03 years, and 04 months inside the jail, the concerned District Attorney/Public Prosecutor and learned trial Court are directed to make all endeavours to conclude and decide the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from today. Let a copy of this order be forwarded to the concerned District Attorney/Public Prosecutor and learned trial Court for information and compliance.
