As per contents of the petition, present petitioner was convicted by the trial Court on 25.09.2025 and he ran away from custody. Copy of judgment in Session's case No.SC-399-2021 decided on 25.09.2025 along with copy of order on quantum of sentence is Annexure P-2. Petitioner is ready to surrender before the competent Court and is also willing to deposit the entire fine amount. Therefore, he may be granted interim protection as prayed for.

I have considered the aforesaid factual position. As per the copy of judgment (Annexure P-2) it is evident that present petitioner Gurpreet Singh @ Toni is convicted under the provision of Section 363 IPC along with co-accused, whereas other co-accused Lovepreet Singh, Joban and Komal were also convicted under Sections 363, 366 and 376-D(A) of IPC. It is clear from the order on quantum of sentence that Gurpreet Singh @ Toni has run away from the Court premises after hearing the judgment, before he could be taken into custody. In light of aforesaid factual position, no direction is required. Petitioner can surrender before the trial Court on his own. Petition filed by the petitioner seeking direction for interim protection is misconceived and the same is accordingly declined.
