Present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of a writ, order of direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.5 and police staff working under respondent No.5 of Police Station Divison No.6, Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has moved a representation dated 01.11.2025 (Annexure P-6), but no action has been taken so far.

Additional reply by way of an affidavit of Sanjay Kumar, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, NDPS-cum-Model Town, Jalandhar, in the shape of enquiry as well as enquiry held by ACP, have been filed by learned State counsel, and the same is taken on record. Learned State counsel submitted that the allegation regarding demand of bribe as well as causing injuries were found untrue and the statements of petitioner, police officials and two other shopkeepers have also been recorded during that enquiry. 4.

Report perused. Keeping in view the contents of the status report as well as submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner still feels aggrieved from the action taken by the higher officer, he can avail the appropriate remedy available to him in accordance with law.
