Prayer made in the present petition is for quashing of the order dated 23.10.2025 passed by learned Sessions Judge, Faridkot as well as order dated 11.03.2025 passed by learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot, whereby the petitioner was directed to place on record an FDR of any nationalised bank to the tune of Rs.3 lakhs.

Learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer only to reduction of superdari bonds. He submits that the vehicle was taken into police possession from the date of incident, is gathering rusty dusty in the police station and prays for reduction of amount keeping in view his poor financial condition as also he has no other source of income as well. 3.

The petitioner is not the driver, but is the owner of the vehicle i.e. Maxi Cab Model Toofan, bearing registration No.PB- 01A-9237, which was recovered by the police and now while ordering for release of the same, learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot, has imposed a condition of MOHIT 2025.12.17 15:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-65062-2025 (O&M) -2furnishing of superdari bonds in the sum of Rs.5,00,000/- with one surety in the like amount along with FDR to the tune of Rs.3,00,000/-, the appeal filed against the said order has also been dismissed by the learned Sessions Judge, Faridkot, vide order dated 23.10.2025.

Learned State counsel submits that the learned Courts below have rightly passed the orders.

Considering the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of and the impugned order dated 23.10.2025 is hereby modified and the condition of furnishing of superdari bonds in a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- is reduced to Rs.3,50,000/-.
