Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS seeking directions to respondents No.1 to 4 to submit status report in case bearing FIR No.190 dated 01.07.2025 registered under Sections 303(2), 3(5) of BNS, at Police Station Guru Harsahai, District Ferozepur. 2.

At the very outset, learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Baldev Singh, contended that in this matter the investigation has already been completed; respondents No.5, 6, 9 and 10 have been arrested, and challan qua them have been presented, hence, nothing survives in the present petition to continue.

Taking into consideration the contentions of learned State counsel, present petition is disposed of as the investigation has already been completed and final report has been filed.

However, it is made clear that if there is any threat perception to the petitioner, he can exhaust his remedies in accordance with law under Witness Protection Scheme.
