The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 04.04.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-20759-2016.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that State has preferred Letters Patent Appeal against the order dated 04.04.2025 passed in CWP-20759-2016 by filing LPA-49-2026, wherein the Division Bench of this Court, vide its order dated 06.02.2026, directed the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. He further contends that in compliance of the orders dated 04.04.2025 and 06.02.2026, a speaking order dated 20.02.2026 has been passed by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Haryana, VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.02.26 10:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-5714-2025 (O&M) -2Irrigation & Water Resources Department. He has produced a copy of the said speaking order dated 20.02.2026, which is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioners. 3.

In view of the above, since order dated 04.04.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-20759-2016, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 4.

Needless to say that the petitioners are at liberty to avail remedy as is available to them in accordance with law to challenge the aforesaid speaking order dated 20.02.2026.
