Detenue-Surjeet Kaur is present today. She has been questioned twice in the Court. On both the occasions, she has expressed her desire to stay with her parents. Though, no specific reason has been assigned for this change in her decision.

It needs to be pointed out that petitioner and Detenue-Surjeet Kaur had performed the marriage against the wishes of the parents of Detenue on 06.11.2025.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition seeking liberty to avail the alternate remedy so available to the petitioner, in accordance with law. 4.
