    are praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari praying that in light of the Punjab Educational Service (School & Inspection Border Area), Group 'B' Service Rules, 2018 (in short 'Rules of 2018'), they are deemed to be in the Border Area Cadre. It is the case of learned counsel for the petitioners that in light of the abovesaid Rules of 2018, the names of petitioners should be included in the seniority list pertaining to Border Area.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions from the petitioners, submits that he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 03.11.2025 (Annexure P-3) served by the petitioners in a time-bound manner. 3.
