Mr. Vikramjit Singh, Advocate for Mr. Abhishek Joon, Advocate for the petitioners. AARADHNA SAWHNEY , J (ORAL) Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, both the petitioners have filed the present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, praying therein to issue appropriate directions to respondent No.3 not to harass them for wrongdoing on the part of the accused Jagtar Singh, who is son and brother of petitioner No.1 and petitioner No.2 respectively.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that son of the petitioner went astray and is involved in many criminal cases. He has not been in touch with the family for the last 4-5 years. However, the Police Authorities on the pretext of finding his whereabouts are constantly threatening them. He has drawn attention of this Court to the representation dated 25.11.2025 (Annexure P.3) filed by the petitioners, which till date has not been decided as of now. 3.

Insofar as the present petition is concerned, learned counsel for the petitioners limits his prayer to direct the official respondents to decide representation dated 25.11.2025 (Annexure P.3), moved by the petitioners. 4.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 and has no objection in deciding the representation filed on behalf of the petitioners. 6.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to decide the representation dated 25.11.2025 (Annexure P.3) expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from today, in accordance with law.
