The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short-'BNSS') for quashing of FIR No.61 dated 11.04.2025 under Sections 118(1), 351(2), 3(5) of BNS registered at Khanna City-2 Police District Khanna District Ludhiana Punjab and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 30.08.2025 along with affidavit dated 21.11.2025. 2.

Mr. Rishabh Singla, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. He submits that no other FIR has been registered against the petitioners and they have no known criminal antecedents. 4.

Mr. Vinod Devgun, Advocate, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.2 and filed his Vakalatnama in the Court today and the same is taken on record. He confirms the factum of the compromise having been Renu Rawat 2025.12.02 17.30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-67165-2025  effected between the parties and states that respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question.

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No.61 dated 11.04.2025 under Sections 118(1), 351(2), 3(5) of BNS registered at Khanna City-2 Police District Khanna District Ludhiana Punjab and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 30.08.2025 shall stand quashed qua the petitioners subject to the condition to deposit a sum of Rs. 10,000/- each as costs in the Punjab State Legal Services Authority Disaster Relief Fund bearing Account No. 44426937384 IFSC Code SBIN0014656 Banch Name Sector 68 SAS Nagar, Mohali. 7.
