CRM-49564-2025 This application has been filed for preponement of date of hearing of the main case from 29.01.2026 to any prior date of hearing. For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and the main case is ordered to be taken on Board today itself.

 Main case 1.

The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short-'BNSS') for quashing of FIR No.363 dated 24.11.2025 under Sections 125(b), 288 of BNS and under Section 30 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Furrukh Nagar District Gurugram and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 25.11.2025 as Annexure- P-2.

2.

The allegations against the petitioner are that during the lagan ceremony, he was carrying his licensed pistol in his belt holster, and while he was present near the dance floor, the pistol accidentally fell, resulting in a gunshot injury to the backside of the thigh of respondent No. 2. It is further submitted that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties. 3.

Notice of motion.

4.

Mr. Rakesh Kumar Jangra, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Learned State counsel states that no other FIR has been registered against the petitioner and he has no known criminal antecedents.

5.

Mr. Shubh Karman Kumar, Advocate appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.2. He has filed his Vakalatnama in the Court today and the same is taken on record. He confirms the factum of the compromise having been effected between the parties and states that respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. 6.

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already

settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No.363 dated 24.11.2025 under Sections 125(b), 288 of BNS and under Section 30 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Furrukh Nagar District Gurugram and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise shall stand quashed qua the petitioner subject to the condition to deposit a sum of Rs. 10,000/- as costs in the Punjab State Legal Services Authority Disaster Relief Fund bearing Account No. 44426937384 IFSC Code SBIN0014656 Banch Name Sector 68 SAS Nagar, Mohali. The recovered weapon is ordered to be confiscated to the State.
