Learned State counsel has filed status report dated 25.03.2026 of Assistant Commissioner of Police, East, Ludhiana, which is taken on record. He refers to para Nos.25 to 28 whereof, which read thus:

25. That already Sumeet Kaur (respondent no.5) wife petitioner has filed cases in the Hon'ble Court against him due to which, due to their own family dispute petitioner has submitted this application, and Kuldip Singh (petitioner) should put his case before the ld. Court. However, during the investigation no fact has come into light regarding giving of threats to petitioner by second party his wife Sumeet Kaur (respondent no.5) or daughter Himanshi Khurana (respondent no.6). There is no truth found in this application given by Kuldip Singh (petitioner), hence there is no need to take any action on this application.

26. That the deponent has prepared report dated 04.02.2026 with the recommendation to file the application given by the petitioner. A copy of report dated 04.02.2026 is attached herewith as Annexure R-1.

27. That the deponent has submitted the report with the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana who has approved the same on 05.02.2026.

28. That from the facts stated above coupled with documents, it is clear that civil as well as criminal litigation is already pending between both sides but the petitioner has filed the present complaint without any basis and the same has been filed after conducting fair and impartial inquiry."
