(Oral) The present first petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.114 dated 08.07.2024 registered under Section 21 (Sections 25 & 29 added later on) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Sadar Ferozepur, District Ferozepur.

Status report dated 18.02.2026 by way of an affidavit of Sukhwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), District Ferozepur has been filed on behalf of the respondent/State today in the Court. The same is taken on record.

After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the present petition at this stage.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage.
