Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that insofar as the relief sought for removal of the illegal encroachment from the petitioner's land is concerned, the same stands complied with and possession has already been restored to the petitioner.

At this stage, learned State counsel, on instructions from Mr. Abhinav Goyal, District Development and Panchayat Officer, Bathinda, submits that with regard to the other prayer of petitioner, seeking recovery of an amount of Rs.5,81,407/- from respondent No.8 in pursuance of the notice dated 22.05.2023 (Annexure P-4) issued by the learned Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Maur (Bathinda), the concerned department is already in the process of initiating recovery proceedings by declaring the said amount as arrears of land revenue. He further submits that in all probabilities, the proceedings in question shall be concluded within a period of six months from today, in accordance with law. 4.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned State counsel, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of. 5.
