In the present case, on 03.12.2025, following order was passed:- "1.

Prayer in the instant petition, filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of direction to the official respondents to provide protection of lives and liberty to the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of the private respondents. 2.

Primarily, it is noticed that both the petitioners are residents of State of Madhya Pradesh.

Learned State counsel is directed to enquire about the credentials of both the petitioners and also about their original place of residents and other antecedents.

List again on 10.12.2025.

Counsel for the petitioners is directed to handover the complete set of paper book to learned State counsel in Court today." 2.

Again on 21.01.2026, following order was passed:- "i) Present criminal writ petition has been filed under Articles 26/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing Respondents No. 1 to 3 to ensure protection of the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of Respondents No. 4 to 7. ii) Perusal of paragraphs 1 and 4 of the status report reveals that only the statements of the petitioners have been recorded regarding their place of residence. In fact, no verification has been carried out from any other co-villager or even from the Panchayat member by the JAWALA RAM 2026.02.13 18:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Let this fact also be verified, and an additional affidavit in this regard be filed before this Court.

iv) List on 11.02.2026."

Today, learned State counsel has filed the additional affidavit dated 05.02.2026, of Mr. Abhimanyu, HPS, DSP, Tauru, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 - State in Court today, which is taken on record. Office to tag the same at appropriate place.

A copy thereof has been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner.

On the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the instant petition.
