For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and affidavits of respondents No. 2 and 3 are ordered to be taken on record as Annexure A-2 and A-3.

For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and main case is ordered to be taken on Board today itself. Main case:

The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short-'BNSS') for quashing of FIR No. 0237 dated 18.11.2020 under Sections 379-B of IPC and Sections 411 and 201 IPC (added later on) registered at Police Station Goraya District Jalandhar with all the other consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 24.11.2025.

Mr. Rishabh Singla, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No.1-State.

Mr. Maan Akashdeep Singh, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in the Court today. He has filed his Vakalatnama and affidavit of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in the Court and the same is taken on record. He confirms the factum of the compromise having been effected between the parties and states that respondent Nos. 2 and 3 have no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question.

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 0237 dated 18.11.2020 under Sections 379-B of IPC and Sections 411 and 201 IPC (added later on) registered at Police Station Goraya District Jalandhar and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom stands quashed qua the petitioners on the basis of compromise subject to payment of Rs. 10,000/- as costs in the Punjab State Legal Services Authority Disaster Relief Fund bearing Account No. 44426937384 IFSC Code SBIN0014656 Branch Name Sector 68 SAS Nagar, Mohali. 7.
